About Christina Mims
鈥淚 began teaching as an adjunct for the music department on the Mexia Campus in the Spring of 2002. I soon moved to the Corsicana Campus to teach Class Piano and Private Lessons. In Fall of 2010, I became a full-time faculty member where I served as the choir accompanist, and taught multiple music classes. After several years in the classroom, I moved into administration which eventually led me to my present position as Dean of the Mexia Campus.
I am continually amazed by the accomplishments of our students! I have seen so many students overcome obstacles that I can鈥檛 even imagine, and still meet their educational goals. Students are inspiring!
Please do not be afraid to ask for help and answers to your questions. There are NO dumb questions, contrary to popular belief. Navigating the processes of college entry can be confusing for those experiencing it for the first time. The faculty and staff at 黑料社 are here to help!
Watching several of my students graduate from NC and move on to notable universities and complete Bachelor鈥檚 or even Master鈥檚 degrees has given me a sense of pride, knowing I was a part of their journey.
黑料社 has an amazing faculty and staff who go above and beyond to serve students. This is a wonderful place with a family-like atmosphere that creates a comfortable environment in which students can learn and achieve their goals. I certainly recommend our college to anyone!鈥�
Best Memory
鈥淧erforming with the choir, accompanying students, and watching my private students successfully perform solos they struggled to learn are some of my fondest memories. When the college purchased a new grand piano for the music department in 2013, we held a Piano Department Recital which included both faculty and student performers. That event stands out as one of my favorite memories.
As a wife to my husband, Ritchie, and mother two 2 boys, Austin and Cole, and one chihuahua, Angel, I am all about spending time with family!鈥�
