ºÚÁÏÉç'Continuing Education offers programs for adults seeking career changes, professional school preparation, or advanced career training.

 

Pre-Registration Checklist


Follow these steps to avoid registration problems adn ensure a smooth process.

 

STEP 1: Explore ºÚÁÏÉç Tracks 

  • Visit  to review programs

  • Request information on programs of interests.

STEP 2:  Apply for Admission

For new or returning students (not enrolled with ºÚÁÏÉç for more than one year):

  • Complete a free application online on .

  • Submit all official transcripts. Beginning Student: Official High School Transcript or High School Equivalency (HSE) Scores. Transfer Student: Official transcripts from all colleges attended.

  • Provide proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination. Must be submitted 10 days before the first day of class.  Exemption information is available online on the College's page.

  • If required, submit proof of residency. This is only if requested by the Office of Admissions.

All admissions documents, including offiical transcripts (in a sealed envelope), may be mailed or hand delivered at specific locations:

Drop-off Locations: 

  • ºÚÁÏÉç - Corsicana, Gooch OneStop Student Center (located on east side by Veteran's Office) 

  • ºÚÁÏÉç - Corsicana, Richard Sanchez Library Drop-off box (located on the east side of library)

 

STEP 3:  Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships

  • Visit the Financial Aid website for information and instructions on how to apply for aid and scholarships.

  • U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens: Apply on the  ( ºÚÁÏÉç School Code is 003593 ).

  • Students admitted under Texas House Bill 1403/Texas Senate Bill 1528, see the Financial Aid Office or visit the website and apply online.

  • Check your portal after 3-5 business days to complete your checklist. 

  • Explore scholarship opportunities on the the .

STEP 4: Apply for Housing (Corsicana Location only) 

  • Complete a housing application online on the .

  • Submit a $240 housing deposit.

  • Pass a background check.

 

BEFORE CHECK-IN

  • Enroll in 15 semester credit hours and check out on  with financial aid, payment plan or full payment. 

  • Pay room and board online on .

  • Review and submit Housing Agreement Terms and Conditions.

  • Complete the online Personal Property Information form.

  • Review residence hall rules and policies. 

  • Consider personal property insurance for your belongings.

STEP 5: Complete a Placement Test

  • Take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment and submit test scores at time of registration. Exemptions are available online at the website.

  • Complete the required PreAssessment Activity prior to taking the TSI Assessment.

  • Schedule an appointment with the available at each campus. Bring a photo identification and $35 testing fee.

STEP 6: Request an Appointment with a Success Coach

  1. To connect with the appropriate advisor, email Academic Advising or call (903) 875-7397. 

  2. To prepare for your appointment with an advisor, please complete the following steps: 

  • Submit all transcripts   

  • Submit Bacterial Meningitis (All students 22 and younger)   

  • Complete and submit TSI scores if required.   

  • Write down any questions you may have for your advisor:  Educational & Career Goals, Transfer questions, Timeline to completion or transfer

STEP 7: Complete Pre-Registration

  • Pay by phone through the Cashier's Office or online via .
