Academic Support


Explore academic resources designed to help you thrive. ºÚÁÏÉç provides tutoring, advising, access and accommodation services, and career services. 

AVAILABLE ACADEMIC SERVICES:

  • Academic Advising - Academic advising is available to students who need assistance exploring majors, creating a specific plan tailored to your interests and life goals, mapping a road to graduation, reviewing ºÚÁÏÉç policies, developing class schedules, and exploring transfer options. 

  • College Bookstore - The Bookstore offers everything you need including textbooks, school supplies, clothing, and more on the Corsicana, Waxahachie, and Midlothian locations. You can also conveniently purchase books online.

  • Access and Accommodation Services - The ºÚÁÏÉç Office of Accessibility and Accommodations strives to provide reasonable accommodations and facilitate equal access to all services and programs at ºÚÁÏÉç to qualified individuals with a disability.

  • Library - The ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries provide resources and services to support academic and course work, research and recreational interests of students, faculty, and staff and maintaining a place that is conducive to reading, study, and independent learning.

  • Registrar - The Registrar provides students with documents, resources, and services to help guide you through your semesters here at ºÚÁÏÉç.

  • Testing Center - The ºÚÁÏÉç Testing Center is dedicated to providing all examinees a quiet, non-disruptive setting. Our goal is to ensure your success through supporting your assessment needs as effectively and efficiently as possible.

  • TRIO Student Support Services - Federal program offering academic and personal support for eligible students.

  • Tutoring Services - Peer mentors and tutors provide students with FREE tutoring referrals and information regarding help offered by academic and student services departments.

 

Finance and Assistance


ºÚÁÏÉç offers financial support to help you manage college costs through scholarships, installment plans, and other assistance programs.

  • Cashier's Office - Pay your bills either by mail or in person at the Cashier’s Office available at all locations. ºÚÁÏÉç also offers the convenience of a tuition installment plan:  to students who need to stretch out payments over a period of time.

  • CTE Success Center - The CTE Success Center offers FREE services to Career and Technical Education major students and alumni by providing career education, job seeking tools, textbook loan & childcare assistance, and employment services.

  • Financial Aid - Don’t think that a college education is out of your reach. With the right planning, a college education is accessible to almost everyone. Let us help you get started. Find information about applying for aid, scholarships, and more.

  • Foster Care Liasion - Tuition and fee exemptions for students who were formerly in foster care. Contact the Foster Care Liaison at the ºÚÁÏÉç-Corsicana location to provide eligible documentation or request additional information.

  • Military and Veterans - We are committed to helping veterans transition from the military to higher education.

  • Scholarships - Need help paying for college? We award over $200,000 in scholarships each year.

  • TRIO Student Support Services - Additional academic and financial support for qualifying students.

 

Health and Wellness Resources


ºÚÁÏÉç helps contribute to the physical, emotional, and social development of students by providing health and mental wellness services.

  • - Confidential reporting for students needing assistance or intervention.

  • Bulldog Mental Wellness Center - The Bulldog Mental Wellness Center is here for our students from admission to graduation.  Mental health counseling services provided by licensed clinicians is free and confidential to all ºÚÁÏÉç students.

  • Medical Care Providers - Browse a list of primary medical care staff (Corsicana) who provide medical care for short term, acute illnesses and injuries, as well as ongoing health problems.

  • Personal Counseling - ºÚÁÏÉç employs professional counselors to provide brief counseling, assessment, referral, and crisis intervention services to currently-enrolled students. Note: This is not academic advising.

  • Suicide Prevention & Mental Health - List of warning signs for someone who is at risk for suicide and how you can help.

  • Title IX - ºÚÁÏÉç takes sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and sexual violence seriously. We are committed to providing a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the College.

 

Campus Safety


ºÚÁÏÉç is committed to maintaining a safe environment for students, faculty, and staff. The Department of Campus Safety provides professional law enforcement and emergency service.

SAFETY RESOURCES:

  • Campus Safety - ºÚÁÏÉç is a service-oriented police department who work with members of the college community to prevent crime, eliminate threats, and ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, faculty members, and visitors.

  • Watchdog Alert Emergency System - The ºÚÁÏÉç Watchdog Alert system is a communications service used to quickly reach the campus community with urgent voice and text messages.

  • Emergency Preparedness - ºÚÁÏÉç Department of Public Safety has developed a comprehensive safety plan. The plan is designed to prepare people on campus for unlikely events such as hostile situations, as well as likely events such as inclement or severe weather. 

  • Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) - The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) of 1989 - also known as the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act - requires institutions of higher education to establish policies that address unlawful possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and illicit drugs. The DFSCA also requires the establishment of a drug and alcohol prevention program.

 

Information Technology


ºÚÁÏÉç's Information Technology Department provides students with access to digital tools and support for academic success.

TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES:

  •  - A learning management system for all online courses, as well as some assignments, discussions, and resources for hybrid and face-to-face classes.

  • Computer Laptop Kiosks -  ºÚÁÏÉç has replaced traditional open computer labs with self-checkout laptop kiosks. Students can borrow a laptop free of charge and use it anywhere that supports their learning style.

  • - MyNC is the central resource and gateway to a variety of self-service tools for all ºÚÁÏÉç students and employees. Here you’ll access your classes, view your grades, find important news, and so much more.

  • Contact Center - The Contact Center is ºÚÁÏÉç’s focal point for student inquiries regarding any aspect of services and facilities provided by the College departments, including questions about financial aid, the registration process, and login instructions to MyNC.

  • - Log into the portal to view your academic information, receive personalized communication, and use our self-service tools.

  • - Official communication channel for ºÚÁÏÉç students.
