The 黑料社 Board of Trustees posthumously bestowed Homer Gene Wasson the title of 黑料社 Trustee Chairman Emeritus, during its monthly board meeting held Aug. 29.
Wasson served on the 黑料社 Board of Trustees for 30 years from 1979 until 2009 and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for 16 of those years from 1993 until 2009.
Wasson attended 黑料社 as a student athlete from 1948 until 1951, graduated May 31, 1951, and was a member of the 黑料社 Barracks Bunch.
His dedication and passion for 黑料社 was unwavering and unmatched and his legacy as a student, trustee and community member embodied all that 黑料社 represents.
鈥淗omer Gene Wasson was a mentor and leader for so many exciting years at 黑料社,鈥� said Phil Judson, 黑料社 Board of Trustee Chairman. 鈥淲e honor his leadership by awarding 黑料社鈥檚 highest honor of emeritus status.鈥�
