Frequently Asked Questions about the Registered Nursing to Bachelor of Nursing Bridge (RN-to-BSN Bridge) Program
Where is the RN-to-BSN Bridge program offered?
The RN-to-BSN program is offered at the ºÚÁÏÉç-Corsicana and ºÚÁÏÉç-Waxahachie locations. Pending approval, ºÚÁÏÉç will offer an online program option.
May I apply before taking all the prerequisites?
All prerequisites must be completed before the beginning of Spring classes. More information can be found in the information session.
How are applicants selected for the RN-to-BSN Bridge program?
If there are more applicants than seats available, applicants with the highest number of points will be offered admission. Points will be earned for the following criteria.

-
Lives or works in a ºÚÁÏÉç Service Area (see copy of Driver's License or reference letter to verify)

Is there an expiration date on my science courses?
There is no expiration date on science courses for applicants of the RN-to-BSN program.
Can I still work while attending the program?
The RN-to-BSN hybrid format requires scheduled activities and exams on campus. Clinical hours must also be completed in specific clinical sites. Otherwise, attendance requirements must be met, but the program does provide flexibility. Meeting dates/times will be noted in course outlines, and made available at the start of each course.
Pending approval of the online option, no face-to-face instruction will be required, providing a lot of flexibility for the working RN.
Is the RN-to-BSN Bridge program accredited?
Yes. The RN-BSN program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
