Steps to Apply to the Registered Nursing to Bachelor of Nursing Bridge (RN-to-BSN Bridge) Program
Admission information for the 2026 enrollment period is currently being updated.
Please check back after September 1, ºÚÁÏÉç, for the most current details regarding application requirements, deadlines, and procedures.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO APPLY TO THE PROGRAM.
STEP 1:
Become Eligible to Apply for ºÚÁÏÉç Admission

Carefully review eligibility requirements for the RN-to-BSN Bridge program.

Review the presentation, prior to submitting an application for admission.

Apply to ºÚÁÏÉç if you are not already a student here.

Make sure you are under the correct degree plan. Prior to acceptance to the program, you should be on the "Pre-Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Associate of Science)" degree plan.

Send all OFFICIAL transcripts from each college and university attended to the ºÚÁÏÉç Office of Admissions.
Additional Information

Applicants must be admitted to ºÚÁÏÉç. Admission to ºÚÁÏÉç does not guarantee admission to a Health Professions program.

Submit a completed ºÚÁÏÉç RN-to-BSN program application and include all required documents.

Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) on a 4-point scale for all prerequisite general academic coursework.

Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4-point scale for all nursing coursework.

All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better prior to enrollment. (Offers of admission will be contingent upon all prerequisites being completed prior to the first class day).

Must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education that is accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency or a diploma in nursing from an institution that is accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency.

Must have a current, unencumbered Texas or an Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license to begin the program.

Must provide copy of Driver's License or valid government identification.

Provide documentation and contact information for any community service and or involvement in extracurricular and/or professional activities, if applicable.
STEP 2:
Apply for Admission to the RN-to-BSN Program

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Faculty will rank all qualified applicants. Offers of admission will be sent out July 1, ºÚÁÏÉç.
If you are offered admission, your acceptance letter will include important information regarding important next steps:

Registering for a SurPath account.

Registering for drug screening through SurPath.

Providing proof of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Proof of required healthcare provider immunizations.
-
Verification of Social Security card.
-
Proof of Health Insurance.
-
Copy of Driver's License.
-
Verification of RN license.
